Working together on Nina Forever was a brilliant experience – this was so much more than making sure things were in the right place and continuity was right. It was character design – the shimmer of Nina’s dead body; the tattoos, scars and wounds Nina carried, these were all integral in helping build up just who she was as a person in both life and death. It was a hell of a job just getting Nina right every single day, an exhausting marriage of paint work, prosthetics, transfers and copious amounts of fake blood all applied perfectly – and then we had Saff applying tattoos and scars to Holly and creating a grief-stricken pallor in Rob’s complexion, just to make sure things were easy for her every day. Saff brought all her creativity and skills to the job and helped us create very real characters.
She’s a consummate storyteller and we loved working with her.
